Numbers...

Well today I have been thinking about numbers...I guess it is the old math teacher still left in me. Here are the numbers I was thinking about today..

2.5-3 The number of inches in diameter the pancakes I made are.

16 The number of sweet potato pancakes I made today

4 The number of people eating pancakes today at breakfast...Trooper was NOT one of them

4 The number of pancakes my 9 month old had to eat...after milk and fruit!

11.3 The number of weeks until my baby it a year old...plus the number of weeks until I am done breastfeeding!

8 The number of different books I have read since October 30th.

0 The number of books I read all of the way through in the 15 months prior.

228 Oh wait...book #8, I am on this page...started that on Sunday evening

104 Monday evening, this is how many pages I have left

3 The number of times that I read 4 off the books I started since late October

17 The age of Avril (my niece via Leslie and Kevin)...by days that is

10 The longest (by days) that one of my best friends (Carissa) will still be pregnant with Cannon

5 The number of popcorn pieces I cleaned up out of my car after coming home from music class...Parker and Paige each ate had their own bag...they did not drop any...it was all me! I sat Paige's down so she could get in her seat and a few fell out...they don't let food drop that often.

6 The number of days Peyton has been on his growth spurt...wanting to wake at 6:15 (I don't let him get up until closer to 7 though he usually gets up at 7:30) as well as eating TONS of food!

2 The number of words Peyton is saying...dadda and momma

11 The time I am going to bed...good night!

9 month old Peyton

Peyton turned 9 months old last Friday. Today he went to the doctor for his wcc. He is now 17 pounds and 3 ounces. That puts him down in the 5-10% for his age...normal for all 3 of our kiddos. He is also 27 1/2 inches long. That puts him in the 25% for his age...shorter than Parker and Paige, but on a normal track for "Little P."

Not Me Monday

Well this week I decided to participate in McMama's "Not Me!" Monday.

When Trooper arrived home from work early while Paige and Peyton were still sleeping, I did not bribe Parker with the remainder of his Sonic drink to go with Trooper to the gym so I could have more time to myself. No, not me!

Trooper and I did not agree when called about an hour before church on Saturday night to watch Paige's 2 year old class of 12 kids. Trooper did not while there ask me to do diaper duty with a smile on his face. I did not then in return smile to myself when he and another worker were left with the reminder the kids in the room while I did diapers one by one. I did not also smile to myself when the kid that would not stop crying/wanted his daddy was clinging to Trooper...oh the look on his face when I just called out another kid's name to change a diaper. No, not us...no, not me!

I did not just put on a video for the kids so I could take a shower and wash my hair. No, not me!

I did not bride my kids on 2 different evening with a chocolate covered strawberry in order for them to eat their veggies. No, not me!

I did not eat more than one snack per day (including making salsa this morning just for more snacking) and claim it all in the name of breastfeeding. No, not me!

Paige received her 1st hair cut on Saturday morning. I did not bribe her with ice cream if she did good. Even when they gave her a sucker when she left, I did not then take her over to McDonald's for a cone. When there, I did not then share some on my ice cream with 9 month old Peyton. No, not me!

Hair Cut #1 For Paige

On Saturday Paige received her 1st hair cut. Her hair was not that long, but it was starting to show that it was very uneven. She also had split ends as well. It was funny watching her hair be cut off. The hair kept curling around the stylist's fingers. She then commented that she felt bad about cutting her curls off if they did not come back. You never know, but for Paige, I don't think we have to worry about that. When her hair has more weight to it, maybe.
Here are Paige's before pictures...

Potty Paige

Well it is potty time at the Smith house...or so we thought. Over the holidays we decided to potty train Paige...or at lease try. We gave it the hype, got the treats, read the books to her, and had the big girl underwear. In the weeks prior, she had got #2 a few times on the potty. Never #1 though. The morning we started, we did the whole routine (panties, lots of water, treats for being dry, watching video on the potty...and so on). When there were #1 accidents, put new panties on and she practiced going potty. We did not have any #2 successes or failures though. Well...the girl in 1 1/2 days never went on the potty! Not 1 time! When it came time for nap on day #2, we were so excited to put a diaper on and to wait for Spring Break to have another go!

I don't get it...she will go #2 sometimes, but will not go #1...only Paige!

PAIGE!!!!

On Tuesday, I put Paige, Parker, and Peyton all down for nap about 2. I had to get the kids up by 4:05 in order to get Paige's hair fixed, changed, and shoes on and Peyton fed and changed so we could start loading the car by 4:25 to leave for my aerobic class by 4:30. I heard Paige come out of her room just after 4. I was on my way to put Parker and Paige's juice, the diaper bag, my music and other stuff in the car. I came in and went straight up stairs. I found her in Parker's room, but she was not wearing ANYTHING on the bottom! We had gone on a walk/ride just before nap and her pants were drawn to the puddle in the rode along with her socks and shoes. I just took the wet pants, sock and shoes off for nap...not thinking anything of it. Well, when she did not have a diaper on and since our day and half of potty training was a bust over the holidays (for another post) I did not know what I was going to find when I entered her room.

There was poop!!!!! Sheets. Pillow cases. Blankets. Diaper...that is still in question as to if it was ever actually in the diaper. I did not have time for this! I had to put things in the wash (of course I do sheets on Mondays...why could this not have happened on Sunday when I was about to wash sheets again). Not everything at once of course since her room is white, light pink, and hot pink. Then I had to clean her up, put on her clothes. Luckily Peyton is a fast eater and there was not traffic on the way to my class at the Sachse gym.

After class of course, I had poopy pink things waiting for my when I walked through the door to be washed...all in all an eventful afternoon...

New Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins!

Well we are all the above already by Trooper's family. This is the first time we are the above as well from Jami's family. Leslie (Jami's sister) and Kevin had their baby on the 9th. They just updated their blog with Avril's first pictures!

Peyton's new trick

On Monday Peyton started licking his upper lip. He does so when he either has food on his lip and he is getting off, when he is wanting to eat, or wanting another bite. I have started working with him on signing, but that is not the sign I was giving him for "more." Oh well...we were able to catch him showing off his new trick last night...enjoy!
