Swimming, Sun, Splashing, and Snap Shots

Summer is in full hot Texas swing! Currently Parker is taking swim lessons. He is getting so much better and more confident. We are all loving our time at the community pool. I don't think we would get outside more than 2 minutes without it...I am dreaming of last summer when it rained so much...the air was cooler, I did not have to water my plants, my plants were all alive, and our water bill was less. Back to swimming...here are a few pictures...

Paige...always into something...rock on the left picture and gum on a stick on the right.

Peyton is just hanging out/watching Paige get into everything during Parker's lessons. Somehow Paige has not wanted to get into the water though. I think that is a little odd since we swim at that pool about 3 times a week. Watch now that I right this, she will try to get into the water Parker's last 2 days of lessons!

We have also enjoyed time at the sprinkler park in Rockwall.

Here are a few random pictures that I took of the kids the past few days...
Peyton and this lashes...take a close look. We are lucky that all 3 of the kids have them!

3 month old Peyton

Peyton is now 3 months old! We cannot believe our little one is getting so big so fast. With Parker, we wanted for him to do the next thing...roll, walk crawl, eat food, drink from a cup...whatever. With Paige, we knew it was going to go by so fast so we slowed down and enjoyed more of the moments. Peyton...we are going to be lucky if we catch moments with 3 kids! I am remembering to take pictures at least!

Here is Peyton on the recliner at 3 months...I have one of Parker and Paige in the same chair at 3 months.
Well Peyton is 25 1/4 inches long and weighing in at 12 pounds 12 ounces. Here he is the the bumbo.

Summer Fun

Well the Trooper had drill this past weekend. Jami and the Ps had some fun though...
We Played Kitchen (The Cabbage Patch is in the bumbo at the table!)

To Target with 3 kids (Paige had to bring cabbage patch that was mine when I was young home with her from Belton last week. Now she does not go too far with out it!)

We Finger Painted
.

We Ate Homemade Popsicles (that is hair on Parker's shoulder...Paint, Hair Cut, Popsicles...all before a shower before church Saturday night!)

And Peyton...laughed or slept through it all...

July 4th weekend

The Smith Family went down to Belton for the 4th of July...according to USA Today, it was one of the top 10 places to be for the 4th...anyways...Just before leaving town on the 2nd, I took Peyton to the doctor. He was having some trouble with his eye again (from birth a blocked tear duct can take up to a few months to clear up and his got infected again). While in there, Dr. Granger found another ear infection. While knocking on wood, I commented that our boys keep getting infections and Paige has never had one! We had our meds and were off to the Big B.

On the morning of the 4th, we left the house early to get our seat for the big parade. We sat under the shade a tree on FBC Belton property. There was grass for the kids to run around on and shade for Peyton who started napping just before the parade finished. The kids had a great time. One float the kids loved was the huge shopping cart from HEB. Here are a few pics...my dad took more with his camera...

Paige gave us a little adventure that afternoon. We put the kids down for nap. Trooper and I ran to the store to get things to make homemade salsa for the party that evening. While making the salsa, we heard Paige talking. We commented that she was not down yet and then heard nothing again for about 15-20 minutes when she started screaming. I walked in to find her crying because she could not find a way to get back in the pack-n-play. She was trying to climb on the twin bed in the room (I guess to jump in) and could not get up. The funny thing though, she got out of the pack-n-play to eat. My dad likes to make his own trail mix of different nuts and chocolate. Well Paige like some nuts, others were half eaten and on a pile on the table in the room. There was chocolate chips all over the floor (and her face). Who knows how long or how much she actually ate. No nap for Paige today!

After afternoon naps...for 2 out of 3...we made our way to the Thomas' house for the 4th of July party. Trooper, Parker, and Paige swam...Paige has no fear these days! We all ate. Peyton napped. We had to leave before fireworks though...Paige was on her last leg with no nap. All in all it was a great day.

The next evening though...Trooper, Jami, Mark, Mom, and Dad...we all had Mark bring over the Wii. We played Rock Band and Wii Fit for about 3 hours. Long, but fun evening.

It was a great little trip for the Smith family.

End of June update

Well there is always a lot going on with 3 kids in the house since Trooper returned from Germany.

Parker (as mentioned in the blog below) is giving trouble some days with nap time. He is also in the middle of the 2nd set of meds for an ear infection. I think it is finally better this round...still a few more days until we finish the meds though.

Here are Parker, Kort, and Logan while playing at church.

Paige is started to say more understandable words, is doing puzzles very well, and has climbed out of her bed! Before Peyton was born she got out 2 different times a few months apart. We talked when it happened and she did not do it again. Last week I came into her room to wake her from her nap and found her room all torn up. Clothes that were packed away in the closet were all over the floor. Her shoes were out of her drawer and lined up by pairs against the wall. All of her bows were out and on the floor. All of her purses and bracelets were in bed with her...where she was sleeping. She got out of her bed to play and retrieve the purses and bracelets for nap toys, then climbed back into bed for a nap!

Peyton is sleeping through the night...with help of the pacifier and sucking his thumb that he now decided he wants. He has also rolled from tummy to back a few times! Today he followed me with his eyes...turning his head...as I walked across the room. Pulling the blanket off of his face when we play peek-a-boo is Parker and Paige's favorite tick to see him do.
Rolling Over

Peyton went to the nursery at church for the first time!

We have also been going to the pool (Peyton finally got in the water all the way...no dunking just yet though), watching $.50 movies at the theater during the week, Kung Fu Panda this past weekend, going to Jump-n-Jive to play on an inside bounce house, and going to Trooper's Monday night softball games. All in all it was a good end of June...now come July and even more heat!
Peyton and Mommy at the pool. He got in all they way with mommy and daddy.

Here is Peyton after his 1st big swim...tired baby!
Paige loved jumping and Parker loved the side at jump-n-jive!
