Memorial Day Weekend

The Smiths had a great Memorial Day weekend. The pool opened this weekend and we were there Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Parker and Paige took a little getting used to the water again. Parker was for the most part back up to speed by Monday when we came home. Paige on the other hand, it is going to take a few more visits before she is comfortable. Last year Jami took the kids at least 2 times during the week to the pool by herself. With 3 kids our kid's ages, we don't think that will be happening near as often...at least not until we are all a little more comfortable with the water. Peyton also got his little toes in the water for a few moments over the weekend. His little suit is so small and they do not even make swimmers in his size (not like he is really going to get in the water though).

On Saturday evening, we went to the Johnson's Annual Memorial Day Celebration. The kids had a blast. We could not get a picture of Kort and Parker tackling each other (due to our laughter), but it was a sight to see. Parker got Kort down 2 times, but then Kort fought back and took Parker down 4 times! Paige, well, she was into trying on kids shoes as they took them off as well as eating (a.k.a. dipping into) the salsa. Peyton just went with the flow and had a bit to eat, took a nap, got passed around among friends in the backyard. All in all, we had a wonderful time at the party and a wonderful long weekend.

One month old Peyton

Here is a few pictures of little Peyton who is getting so big so fast! We have taken pictures of both Parker and Paige on their bellies like this one of Peyton when there were just around a month old. It is funny to look at the 3 different pictures of our kids in a similar pose.
Here we are at the park. He slept in the Moby wrap the whole time. Parker wanted him to hold the play phone while we were there...so that is the green toy next to him.

Peyton's 1 month picture in his bed...11 more to go!

Parker and Paige have loved playing with their little brother.

Paige is calling Peyton "bubba." We have never called Peyton or Parker that so we are not sure where she has picked it up. She does love to either lay with him in the boppy or on a pillow as well as run by and give him a kiss while she is playing.

Parker is calling Peyton "little P." It is too cute. As you can see, he loves his little brother as well. Both kids like to hold him, but Parker asks to hold him more often. Paige likes to hold her little babies while I am holding Peyton.

Camping With a T and 2 Ps

Trooper took Parker and Paige camping last weekend. The kids wanted to give mommy a little time to herself (only one kids is time to yourself for a mom of 3 we are learning), so they had daddy take them camping.

Here they are enjoying some Oreos after dinner.

Well it came time to go to sleep. Parker asked to go to bed and went down just fine. Paige on the other hand...would not. For a girl that has only ever slept in her bed or a car seat, a sleeping bag was not her idea of a good night sleep.

After not being able to get Paige to lay down and fall asleep, Trooper packed things up, woke up Parker and put him in the car, and headed back to Rowlett just before midnight.

A few firsts

At the begining of the month we took a trip to the big "B"...Belton.
There is a park within walking distance of GiGi and Grumpy (Jami's Parents) house. The kids love going there at least once every trip down. Here is Parker going down the slide.
After the Park, Paige was a little pooped and had her Uncle Mark give her a ride home

One of Jami's best friends from high school, Beth, stopped by with her crew to see our crew. We both have new little boys and have 3 kids total. We have another friend, Jennifer, who will have her 3rd (boy as well) by the end of this month. This is the 2nd time all 3 of us have been pregnant/had newborns together. It only seems like yesterday we were riding in our 1989 chevy cavaliers around Belton...on the way to H.E.B. to buy our favorite kind of Blue Bell (that is no longer being made)...anyways...
Here is Peyton getting his first bottle...he did not miss mommy for one second. I guess he is like any man, will take food from whom ever, when ever.
Peyton has also had his first shower as well as his first bath. Here is a picture of his at his first bath...that he slept through.
Parker and Paige at the Park. Parker enjoyed saying, "All aboard!" Well that and telling mommy where I needed to be on the train. Peyton was fast asleep in the Moby Wrap on mommy...I LOVE THE WRAP. Much better than the carrier thing I had with Parker and Paige. It gives me 2 free hands and he can use it longer than a regular sling.
Paige on the swing...for at least 10 minutes. She is loving the swing more and more lately. Parker loved it at her age as well. Tonight, I pushed on the swing for about 15 minutes on the back porch until it was time for dinner.

Updates...

Parker is doing well...still trying to do life according to Parker. He is adjusting to Peyton just fine. He is used to being the oldest and not the baby.

Paige is still a curly mess! Her hair is finally starting to grow. Other than the color, it is turning out to look like Trooper's hair when he was young. She is having a little harder time adjusting to not being the baby of the family. She does love hugging and kissing Peyton everytime she walks by. She also love sitting/laying in the Boppy with either Peyton or one of her baby dolls.

Well I think Peyton is done with jaundice (or better be after 5 visits to the doctor before 2 weeks of age...at least only one of them did the have to draw blood. The others were with screen on Peyton's chest). His eyes are getting clearer and he skin is getting not so yellow...more pasty white like the other members of his family! Peyton also had his first shower Sunday night.

Trooper and Jami...well we are just hanging on for the ride right now. Everyone is asking what is the hardest thing so far...it is the different schedules again. Parker and Paige are on the same schedule. They have been for the most part since last April...except for Paige's morning nap that she dropped in February. Now we have 2 schedules and Peyton is on a 2 1/2 to 3 hour schedule during the day. We just have to be on our toes and prepared ahead of time...as much as possible. Also, we are learning to let go of certain things that do not have to be done perfect or right now...dusting, clothes hung in the closet, every toy picked up before nap/bed, or anything else that seemed SO important before we did not have sleep again. As long as everyone is fed, bathed, and had on clean clothes at some point in the day, we are all good!
