Music Class

The Ps are taking a music class on Mondays with about 12 other friends. It is 12 weeks long and today was the 1st performance day of the semester. All of the kids were too cute to watch. Here is some video of Parker singing "Pop Goes the Weasel"

Horseshoe Champ!

Last Thursday Trooper and Kevin played horseshoes is the Corporate Challenge for work. Here are their comments on taking the gold...

Trooper and Kevin breezed their way through the winners bracket, easily beating the ELCAN team that “looked” like they came to play and knew what they were doing (they wore towels to wipe their hands, brought their own horseshoes and didn’t talk much through the competition). They handed it to them on a silver platter 21-12, after going down 0-6 to start the match. The Kaye Bassman team came out of the losers bracket and took us to two games in the finals. But Trooper easily scored 20 of the 21 points needed to carry the team to victory in the second game.

Peyton's Dedication and Paige's Party

On Friday the 12th, Peyton was dedicated at church. Here are a few pics from that night...Trooper and Parker are back there, but where they are standing it is hard to see them. Peyton feel asleep in Jami's arms while waiting for our turn.

Here is Jami, Will (the 3Ps cousin that is 12 days younger then Peyton), Peyton, and Trooper

Paige...in Mommy's shoes after dedication...Daddy is getting a little nervous about Paige and shoes!

On Saturday the 13th, we had Paige's 2nd birthday gathering at our house. For the most part it was just family. She had a great time and loved all of her little gifts!

Parker was the gift helper...and a great one!

Here is Peyton before the party...
Party...I LOVE to party!

Wait...did you say the party was for Paige?

Not for me...I think I might...

CRY!!!!!

I know...everyone just left...my cue to get up from nap and my pre-party fit!

Well...he slept through the entire party!!!

Paige Turns 2

Paige is 2 today!!!! We went out to eat at Chili's to celebrate Paige's 2nd. Today she went to the doctor as well...she is 35 and 1/4 inches tall and in the 85% plus 26 pounds and in the 35-40%. She broke the 25% barrior in weight!!! She then had her 2 year old shot and flu shot...Parker did too. Before nap, we were off to Rockwall for her 1st day of music class (Parker, Peyton, and 8 other friends are in the same class!!). Here are some of her 2 year old pictures, her enjoying her ice cream from yesterday, and a few from our adventures today...including her cake tonight!
She had Happy Birthday sang to her as well as ice cream!
The candles are not in this picture, but she was able to get both of them out by herself!!! Parker tired to help from across the table.
Parker, Paige, Peyton and 8 other good friends were at music class today. All of their friends had a blast singing song, dancing around, and playing music. We go every Monday through December.

Here is Paige in what Jami's mom, aunts, and sister call Jami's Barbie shoes. I just pray her feet stop growing at 6 1/2 so we can share shoe more than my heals around the house.

Parker's Story

Standing in the living room, Parker holds his hands together like he is about to pray. While opening them slowly, I begin to wonder what he is doing. Is he praying? Did he hurt is hand? Does he have something in his hand? Did he find the missing end to the door stop that we last say in Paige's mouth? No, he is about to tell a story:

"Once upon a time there was an angel. She had brown hair and brown eyes. One day, the angel was very sad and had to go home. The end."

Trooper and I were shocked! He opened the "book" and told us the story again and again. We were not so much shocked at the act, but the words that he was saying. "Once upon a time..." following by "On day, ..." are not in The Little Engine That Could, Parker's Preschool Bible, Chick-A-Chick-A-Boom-Boom, Peter Rabbit, Ten Apples On Top, or any of the other books we read. Was this from Preschool? Was it from a movie like Shrek? More investigation will be done...stay tuned...

First day of Preschool!!!

Getting Ready for Weekday School at FBC Rockwall

Breakfast and hair are done. Lunches and Backpacks are loaded...all we have do is get Peyton and go to our first day!

Yesterday were Parker and Paige's first day at preschool. I knew Parker would do great. He loves going to church, the gym, the park, childcare for bible study...whatever. Anything he gets to do that is fun, he is all about it. He has NEVER (other then the time he was 11 months old and was getting sick and I did not know it) had a problem being dropped off. Often when we pick him up he say, "No, go got Paige first!" The boy does not want to leave. That was no different yesterday. As I was picking him up, he told me all about the fun thing he did, told me he did not want to leave, and started to get upset down the hallway because we were leaving...better that then a friend in his class that was getting upset with the other kids were being picked up and mom was not there just yet. He did not nap, but did lay still. He did eat all of his lunch and snack...well, when we got to the car, Parker pulled out his sandwich!!!! He did not even take it out of the bag to eat. No wonder he ate all the carrots, chips, banana, and milk...plus snack after nap!

Ever since Peyton was born, Paige has had trouble being dropped off anywhere... church (she has gone since birth) or the gym (been there since 4 months old). I was a little nervous about dropping her off...I knew she would be fine within a minute or 2, but I was still nervous. She walked right in, handed her teacher her lunch and started playing. Peyton, Parker, and I got out quick while we had a chance. Paige napped and ate all of her lunch (sandwich, chips, banana, milk, and salad...yes salad) and snack (I was not worried about the girl missing a meal...she is a eater and a Smith/Leech). It did take her a little while to settle for nap though. She kept wanting to take her shoes off to nap, but she finally went down. We never thought about her napping with or without shoes...just a perk of always napping at home until you are almost 2.

Day #2 is tomorrow...
