We usaully start nap for Paige about 1:00ish...Parker then about 30 minutes later so that she will be asleep when he goes down and the 2 of us can have some Mommy and Parker learning time. He then (in theory) goes down. He and Paige will wake up about the same time 2 hours later.
Well...Parker is not wanting to nap anymore. We have told him he must nap until he is 5. He gave Jami a few problems before Peyton was born. Since Peyton's arrival, we have only had 4 day where he had not napped...one last week and the past 2 days! He will stay in his room for alone time, but he is not napping. Jami is getting a little alone time to get things done so that is not the problem. The problem is that he is a bear in the evenings when he does not have a nap. He knows if he does not nap he has to go to bed before Paige...usually by 7:15 vs. the normal 8:00. If anyone has a suggestion...Please leave a reply and let me know.

2 month old Peyton
Look at the eyelashes on Peyton! Just like the rest of the family. I am glad to see them coming in. In looking back at Parker and Paige's baby books, we noticed their lashes at about 2 months as well. Now you cannot miss the lashes on either one! Peyton is sure following suit.
On Monday Peyton turned 2 months old. We went to the doctor and his length is 23 3/4 inches (in the 90% just like Parker and Paige were at that age), and is 11 lb and 6 oz (in the 75%...WHAT...my other kids are and were no where near. Starting at the 2 month mark, the weight of Parker and Paige dropped to 25% or below. At 3, Parker is at the 40% in weight. At 18 months, the doctor made the comment the Paige gained good weight and had gone up in her percentils...she was at 15% before...now at 25%!). Peyton has a belly on him, rolls on his legs, and skin in places that I have to make sure sees air or light during the day.
Here are a few pictures of him in his bed as well as his room. When we went to Abilene last week, his Great Aunt Kathy gave him the final piece to his room...his "Peyton" board she made for him just like she did for Parker and Paige!
Daddy's Day
For Father's day, I made Trooper pancakes. But not just any pancakes, sweet potato pancakes. There is a place in Lubbock that makes them. I found a recipe for them while Trooper was at his summer AT for Army. We had them 3 different times while he was gone and they were great. So, Sweet Potato Pancakes, Turkey bacon, and fruit is want Trooper had for Daddy's Day before he had to leave for a week in Germany.
We also got Trooper a digital photo frame for work... he can see more of our cute growing family of 5. Parker and Paige also did some finger painting for Trooper....see below!

Abilene Time
We had a great time at Hotel Kathy (Jami's Aunt). We ate, looked at babies/kids, ate, napped, ate, watched more babies/kids, ate, read magizines, ate, went swimming, and ate. Jami's grandmother (Maw-maw) and Aunt Vicki came down from Lubbock to visit. Cousin Amy and her crew of 3 kiddos came up from Dripping Springs as well. Here are just a few pictures of our time that was not in the pool...
Jami and the 3 Ps...it is harder than you think to get a picture of a 29 year old, 3 1/2 year old, 21 month old and a 8 week old where everyone has eyes open and it not picking at something.
MawMaw is in love with her "Littlest Angel" as she calls all of her great grandchildren.
McKenna, Kathy, Paige, and her bear.
Jami and Peyton
Paige playing kitchen/cooking
Paige, Parker, and cousin Ella are wrestling in the living room.
Peyton and sweet cousin Avery.
Jami...asleep on the stairs. She was making sure the kids were down (since Parker and Peyton were napping in the same room) and she fell asleep for about 20 minutes...tired mommy.

Aunt Kathy's Pool
The Kids and Jami went to Abilene for a few days to see family. Here are some pictures of the pool, popcicles pool side, jumping off the diving board, sliding on the pool slide, and getting tossed in the air.

Parker Quotes
Parker is saying funny things these days. Here are a few of the highlights:
"Look at my eyes, I'm talkin' you." I hear myself with that one!
Singing, "Hush little baby, don't say any words..." to Peyton
"No, get out! It stinks in here." You can guess where he is when he says that one!
This is one from today..."Mommy, when baby girl is up, we get brownies or ice cream for snack." I know I mentioned the brownies we needed to finish up, but ice cream?!?!?

Paige and the bottle of milk
Well...today was a great day. We went to the gym this morning, then the bank. Ran to Mesquite to meet Trooper. Came home for lunch. Off to bed the kids go. Mommy was able to get laundry done, some thank you cards written, bills paid, photo order placed, and a little down time checked off the list for today.
After Parker and Paige were up, we had snack. Peyton wanted snack soon after they were finished, so Parker and Paige watched a "Little Einstein" while I fed Peyton. When Peyton was done, the 2 of us put away a little laundry while the show was finishing.
When Peyton and I returned from my room to the living room (where I had finished feeding Peyton and pumped a little), we found Paige with the bottle of milk shaking it out all over the floor! 4 oz of my hard work down the drain...no down the carpet/hardwood.
After having to add a few things to my to do list (clean carpet, vacuum carpet, clean up hardwood, swiffer hardwood, cry over spilt milk) we made dinner, ate dinner, went to our ABF softball games (lost 1, won 1 Go Fire Ants) and got the kids all to bed. It was, for the most part, a wonderful day.
So...note to self, just because the milk is safe at room temp for several hours, does not mean it is Paige safe.
